This page shows the information for the Rio Branco Lodge or what is known as the Los Gauchos Uruguay Duck Hunting Club.

Los Gauchos Outfitters provides all day duck hunting at Rio Branco and the duck hunting is some of the best in not only Uruguay but in all of South America. Los Gauchos hosts duck hunters in a comfortable lodge right on a rice farm with thousands of acres of rice fields.

Thus, the duck hunting is consistent and will be like you only hear and read about. Duck hunting in the morning with duck hunting blinds about 15 minutes from the lodge. A delicious lunch and then back out for an afternoon duck hunt, again the duck hunting blinds are about 10 to 20 minutes from the lodge.

Here is your itinerary for the 4 day
Rio Branco Uruguay Duck Hunting 2010:

Monday - day of arrival at the Montevideo International Airport - MVD.

The drive time to the lodge is about 4 to 4.5 hours from the Montevideo Airport. There is no hunting on the day of arrival for the Rio Branco Lodge 2011 schedule.

Tuesday - day 1 of all day Uruguay duck hunting. Blinds are 5 to 20 minutes from the lodge and 3 boxes of shells are give to each hunter for the AM duck hunt. Duck hunting is out of a man-made dry blind. There are 2 hunters per blind plus a guide who will also call the ducks.

Wednesday - day 2 of the Uruguay duck hunt. The rate includes not only the all day guided duck hunting but also the lodging and meals. Tips and use of guns (Beretta 12 gauge shotguns) are also included in the daily rate.

Thursday - day 3 of Uruguay duck hunting. Los Gauchos Outfitters knows what a true duck hunter wants and we are proud to offer the best duck hunting in Uruguay to you.

Friday - day 4 of Uruguay duck hunting with Los Gauchos Outfitters at the Rio Branco Lodge.

Saturday - this is the day of departure for the Uruguay duck hunt at Rio Branco. Clients will pay for their shotgun shells at the lodge. Cash (USD) is accepted for the shotgun shells.
